Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Lifefold collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use lifefold.app and the Lifefold web application.

Information we collect

Your email address and account details when you create an account.

The content you choose to enter into Lifefold, such as dreams, journal reflections, mood data, tags, and related inputs.

Communications you send to us, including support requests and feedback.

Limited usage and technical information needed to operate, secure, and improve the service, such as pages or features accessed, session activity and frequency, browser and device information, IP address, and related security logs.

If you subscribe, payment and billing-related information is processed by Paddle. We do not store your full card details.

We do not intentionally collect contacts, precise location data, or browsing history outside Lifefold.

How we use information

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your entries to train AI models. We do not share your entries with advertisers.

Store your entries and display them back to you.

Generate interpretations, insights, and related features you request.

Personalise your experience inside the service.

AI processing

When you request an interpretation or insight, the relevant content may be sent to Anthropic's API to generate a response. We send only the content reasonably needed to generate the requested output. AI-generated responses may be incomplete, inaccurate, or inappropriate and are provided for reflective and informational purposes only.

Third-party service providers

Supabase — database and authentication services.

Paddle — payment processing and subscription billing as Merchant of Record.

Vercel — hosting and infrastructure.

We may also use limited analytics, logging, email, and operational vendors as reasonably necessary to run the service.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information:

With payment and billing providers for subscription processing.

To comply with law, legal process, or government request.

To protect the rights, safety, and security of Lifefold, users, or others.

In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, sale of assets, or similar transaction.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organisational safeguards intended to protect information from unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. These may include encryption in transit, access controls, and hosted infrastructure security measures.

No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Data retention

We retain your information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain your account, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

If you cancel your account, we may retain your data for up to 30 days to allow for reactivation and operational processing, unless earlier deletion is required by law or made available by us. After that, data is deleted or de-identified on a reasonable schedule, subject to backup retention, legal obligations, and internal recordkeeping needs.

You may request deletion by emailing privacy@lifefold.app.

Your choices and rights

Children

Lifefold is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we may provide notice by email, in-app notice, or by updating the date above. Continued use of Lifefold after an update means the revised policy applies going forward.
