Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of lifefold.app and the Lifefold web application. By accessing or using Lifefold, you agree to these terms.

1. The service

Lifefold is a personal reflection tool for recording dreams, journaling, and exploring patterns in your inner life through interpretation and automated features. It is intended for personal, non-commercial use only.

We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the service at any time, with or without notice, to the extent permitted by law.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 16 years old to use Lifefold.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for activity that occurs under your account.

You agree to provide accurate account information and keep it reasonably up to date.

·

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, create risk for the service, or are used unlawfully or abusively.

3. Your content

Everything you write in Lifefold belongs to you. We claim no ownership over your entries, dreams, reflections, or related content.

You grant Lifefold a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, store, process, reproduce, and display your content solely as needed to operate, maintain, secure, and improve the service and provide the features you request.

4. Acceptable use

You may not:

Scrape, reverse-engineer, copy, resell, or reproduce the service or its outputs for commercial purposes.

Interfere with or disrupt the service or its infrastructure.

·

Attempt unauthorised access to accounts, systems, or data.

·

Use the service in violation of law or the rights of others.

·

Upload malicious code or abusive content intended to harm the service or others.

5. Subscription and free trial

Lifefold offers a 14-day free trial, after which a paid subscription may be required to continue using some or all features of the service.

Subscriptions may be available on a monthly or annual basis. Pricing is displayed at lifefold.app/pricing and at checkout. Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before renewal.

We may change pricing, plan structure, or included features at any time, subject to applicable law and any notice requirements that may apply.

6. Payments and billing

Payments are processed by Paddle Payments Ltd, which acts as Merchant of Record for Lifefold transactions. By making a purchase, you may also be subject to Paddle's buyer terms and payment policies.

Your card details are handled by Paddle and are not stored by Lifefold.

Paddle issues receipts, invoices, and payment confirmations. For billing questions, you may contact Paddle directly or contact us at hello@lifefold.app.

7. Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time from within the app or by contacting us. Unless otherwise stated at checkout, cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you retain access until then.

After cancellation, account data may be retained for up to 30 days to support reactivation and operational processing, unless earlier deletion is required by law or made available by us.

8. Refunds

Because Paddle is the Merchant of Record, refunds are handled in coordination with Paddle and subject to applicable law and Paddle's policies.

If we choose to offer refunds, we may do so in our discretion, including for initial purchases requested within 14 days where usage has been limited. Nothing in this section limits any non-waivable rights you may have under applicable law.

9. Important disclaimer

Lifefold is a personal reflection and self-discovery tool. It is not a substitute for therapy, psychiatric care, medical advice, crisis support, or professional mental health treatment.

Any interpretations, summaries, insights, or other generated outputs are provided for exploratory and informational purposes only. They may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate, and should not be treated as clinical, medical, legal, or financial advice.

If you are experiencing a mental health crisis or believe you may be in danger, contact a qualified professional or emergency services immediately.

10. Service disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lifefold is provided "as is" and "as available." We make no warranties, express or implied, that:

The service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

·

Outputs will always be accurate, complete, or useful.

·

Defects will be corrected.

·

The service will meet your expectations or requirements.

11. Intellectual property

Except for your content, Lifefold and all related software, design, branding, text, graphics, and materials are owned by Lifefold or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

These terms do not grant you any ownership rights in the service or its materials, except for the limited right to use the service as permitted here.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Lifefold and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, data, or business opportunity arising out of or related to your use of the service.

Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the service or these terms shall not exceed the amount you paid for Lifefold in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

13. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Lifefold from claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses arising out of your misuse of the service, your violation of these terms, or your violation of applicable law or the rights of another person.

14. Termination

You may stop using Lifefold at any time.

We may suspend or terminate access to the service, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these terms, created risk for the service or others, or if continued access is not commercially or legally practical.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including provisions relating to ownership, disclaimers, liability, billing, and dispute resolution.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we may provide notice by email, in-app notice, or by updating the date above. Continued use of the service after the changes become effective means you accept the revised terms.

16. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, without regard to conflict of law principles, except to the extent mandatory law requires otherwise. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms or the service shall be resolved in the courts of Israel, unless applicable law requires a different forum.
